Krol, PharmD, CLP<br /> Director of Commercialization<br /> Heartland BioVentures</h1> <p>As a Heartland BioVentures director of commercialization, Tom Krol evaluates opportunities across the KBA s industry clusters, provides assistance to client companies, and helps client companies in raising private funds.</p> <p>Dr. Krol has more than 20 years of pharmaceutical, biotechnology and drug delivery experience spanning multiple roles in research and development (R&D), new product planning and development, technology assessment, competitive intelligence, marketing, licensing and business development in multiple therapeutic areas. Prior to joining the KBA, he was president of KrolPharma Resources, a consultancy tailored to pharm-bio. Before KrolPharma, Dr. Krol led business development activities at Oakwood Laboratories and founded a specialty pharma company, Verenta Pharmaceuticals. He also worked at CyDex Pharmaceuticals, Pharmacia, Searle, Sanofi-Aventis and predecessor companies.</p> <p>Dr. Krol holds a B.S. in pharmacy from Ferris State University and PharmD from the University of Utah. He completed a residency at the University of Utah and a fellowship in clinical drug development at the University of North Carolina and the Burroughs Wellcome Company (now part of GSK).
