Direct consulting and business assistance are key elements of HBV’s approach to helping businesses succeed, but we also understand the importance of collaboration. This means we will work to connect you with potential sources of investments and a range of other helpful services and programs across the state, as well as other useful business information sources.

  • The Kansas Bioscience Authority is investing $581 million in bioscience researchers and businesses through funding for research and development; funds to match external capital sources; and direct financial assistance.
  • Because venture capital is the lifeblood of growing bioscience businesses, the KBA is investing $50 million in funds that will significantly increase the amount of venture capital available to Kansas companies and that will create a powerful magnet for private capital investment from around the country.
  • The Kansas Bioscience Authority has been selected as one of nine organizations nationwide to participate in USDA-ARS' exciting Agricultural Technology Innovation Partnership (ATIP) program, serving as the portal to businesses in the Northern Plains Region. As a strategic partner of USDA-ARS, the KBA will work with researchers, businesses, and organizations to spin federal research out of labs and accelerate economic growth in this region.
