Stephanie Meyer
Director of External Affairs

Stephanie Meyer comes to the KBA with nearly a decade of governmental and non-profit communications and administration experience, including five years as the press secretary for former Kansas Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh.

As Director of External Affairs, Ms. Meyer works to develop and manage the KBA’s interactions with local, state, and national elected officials, as well as other external parties and stakeholders.

Ms. Meyer previously served as a legislative assistant in the Kansas House of Representatives under Speaker Pro Tem John Ballou, and has held key communications and development positions at two local non-profit organizations.

A native Kansan, Stephanie holds a dual bachelor’s degree in journalism and public relations from Kansas State University, as well as a master’s of public administration from the University of Kansas.
